Masterson’s Tavern , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my recent visit at this establishment quickly devolved into an unforgettable, terrible experience. While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I discovered behind its threshold was shocking and unacceptable on multiple levels .
The Condition of the Premises : Filthy and Abandoned
From the moment I entered , it was immediately obvious that cleanliness was not a priority at this establishment . The floors were sticky , and a pungent odor of decaying beverages and dirty bathrooms suffused the entire pub. Reeking of a mixture of ammonia , old age and illness .
